In November 2006, Chris & Rachel Bailey and a small group of believers came together. Their vision? To start a church that would make a Christ-like difference in the Independence Missouri, area and beyond. Initially, the church met in a home in Grain Valley. Soon, The Bridge outgrew the space and moved to The Hilton Garden Inn in East Independence. By September 2007, The Bridge needed a new place of worship to accommodate it's growth. On Labor Day Sunday, the church moved to Truman High School.
The Bridge launched this new work officially on January 20, 2008 with 170 people in attendance. Since that time, The Bridge has continued to grow and has moved to Noland Fashion Square Cinema 6. This has given us a great opportunity to grow and to partner with a local business. We continue to find new ways to reach our communities and see Radically Transformed Lives!
